For the 12th year Moorpark Veterinary Hospital awarded scholarships to graduating seniors who wish to pursue medicine and the healing arts as a profession. This year we were fortunate to give 2 scholarships to outstanding seniors at Moorpark High School.

Thanks to everyone for generously sponsoring Dr. Al Schwartz, a walker at the Take Steps and Be Heard fundraiser June 13, 2010. He raised over $1,250 for this important charity. Dr. Schwartz, his youngest daughter, and his father all developed Crohn's Disease as teenagers.  Dr. Al had extensive surgery in February, 2010, due to the damage done by his illness. Donations help with research and new medicines to aid in control of this debilitating disease. These funds improve research and educational programs for the more than 1.4 million children and adults suffering from Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
