Emergency Care       

If your pet exhibits any of these symptoms, it may need help right away. Call us at (805) 529-7003, let us know that your pet might have an emergency, and we will take care of it as soon as possible. We're here to help!

  • Abdominal bloating or swelling
  • Birthing problems (e.g., no puppy or kitten in more than 90 minutes of labor)
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Eye disorders, such as swollen, red, or runny eyes or keeping an eye closed 
  • Fainting or collapse
  • Rapid panting or open mouth breathing which may mean heatstroke
  • Hind limbs not working properly (slight or partial paralysis) 
  • Prolonged fever
  • Prolonged or heavy bleeding
  • Repeated vomiting
  • Breathing difficulty
  • Restlessness, retching, or attempted vomiting in a large breed dog
  • Seizures
  • Trauma (e.g., hit by a car, bike, or other forceful object), even with no visible injury
  • White, bright red, bluish, brown, or dark gums (or other mucous membranes)
  • Snake bite
  • Pain

Driving Directions:

  • Take the 23 freeway to the Avenida De Los Arboles exit.
  • Get off the freeway and head west approximately one mile to Moorpark Road, where you'll take a right turn.
  • The Pet Emergency Clinic is on the left hand side of the street approximately a quarter mile north of Avenida De Los Arboles.
